An assessment considers the area you want to treat, hair pigment and thickness, your current skin tone and condition, medical history, and recent sun exposure. Those factors help determine whether treatment is appropriate and which settings need adjustment.

Candidacy is not confirmed by the treatment area alone. Skin tone, hair pigment, a recent tan, the current condition of the skin, medications, and medical history are reviewed before a protocol is confirmed or continued.
